How minutes are counted

  • Free calls are counted per visitor per day, not per account.
  • Each call books its full requested length (3 minutes) against the shared monthly house budget the moment it starts, not metered by how long you actually talk.
  • No minimum charge, and a call that fails to start (the agent or the call can't be set up) books nothing.
  • Unused booked seconds aren't refunded when a call ends early. That starts once Pro's metering ships (PRD 02 P2.4c); for now, Free calls aren't refunded for ending early.

What does Free include?

Unlimited agents and share links, plus 10 calls a day per visitor of up to 3 minutes each, on the included Gemini Live model. No card, no account needed to try it.

What happens when I hit the cap?

Once a visitor uses today's 10 free calls, they can come back tomorrow, or you can add your own key for no daily limit. The house key also has one shared monthly budget across every visitor; if that runs out before the month ends, free calls pause for everyone until it resets, unless you add your own key.

What is bring your own key (BYOK)?

Paste your own API key for Gemini, Qwen, OpenAI or xAI under API keys. Calls then run up to 10 minutes with no daily cap, and you pay that provider directly at its own price. VoiceScholr adds no per-minute charge of its own on BYOK.

Does the agent show a face?

Optionally. An animated preset face can appear during the call if you turn it on for that agent, at no extra charge. It's off by default and is never a replica of a real person.

Can I get a refund?

There's no billing yet, so there's nothing on Free to refund. BYOK calls are billed by your own provider, not by VoiceScholr, so a refund for those is between you and that provider.
